Our approach throughout the work considered the asbestos requirements and how the ACM could be dealt with, with consideration to the historic importance of the artefact.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals
OPS were instructed to decontaminate one of their plant rooms via quill type blasting. The plant room was critical for the operation of the building and as such the work had to be undertaken within a live building, around live services. To accommodate this OPS put in place a number of measures to ensure that the work was undertaken without disruption whilst safeguarding all member of staff.
National Grid PLC
OPS were appointed to provide a long term solution to fix an on-going issue caused by poor historical abatement. This project demonstrated our ability to undertake removal works on a complex and sensitive site and provide a long term and cost effective solution.
Rolls Royce
OPS were appointed to remove 350 square metres of Galbestos cladding lined with AIB in order to facilitate the planned change of use of the area. Work had to be completed to a strict programme.
Re-instatement works were undertaken to encase remaining ACMS at roof level.
Cammell Laird
Cammell Laird is the largest and most successful ship repair and conversion specialist in the UK. This job involved the large scale removal of insulation debris to pipework and brackets at high level. All work was completed with minimal disruption to the client and work continued throughout the removal process.
